Seated Spinal Twist
People have been using this stretch for decades. Not only is it great for your back, but it also stretches out your glutes, hips, abdominals, neck, and shoulders.
To perform the seated spinal twist, follow these steps:
- Sit on the floor with your legs extended out in front of you.
- Bend your right leg and place your right foot outside your left thigh.
- Put your left arm on the outside of your right thigh.
- Place your other hand on the ground for stability.
- Twist your body to the right and hold for one minute.
- Repeat these steps with your other leg.
Frequently performing this stretch can work wonders for your lower back pain!
Child’s Pose
This stretch targets several areas of your body, especially your spine. To do child’s pose, get on your hands and knees and lower your backside towards your feet. Try to touch your belly to your thighs. Focus on deep breaths while you hold the stretch for about one minute.
Knee-to-Chest Stretch
The knee-to-chest stretch involves lying flat on your back with your legs extended. Next, bend your leg, grab your knee, and pull it into your chest. Hold this stretch for about one minute before switching sides.
